Trevor playing with blankie last week

Hands and blankies

We’ve had a pretty good week. I’ve eliminated garlic from my diet and it seems like Trevor is a lot less fussy. He has been in a very good mood or asleep for most time. We’ve taken him to concerts, movies and even the passport office and he’s been asleep the whole time. He smiles more intently now and it seems like he recognises Chris and me (or at least he smiles strategically). He is starting to discover his hands, we saw him looking at his fists a few times. I think it will still be a few weeks until he is actually aware of them, but he is getting better. He now moves and touches the stuffed toys that are lying down next to him. He loves when his face is tickled with a blankie.

Bath time

Trevor is now quite comfortable with taking a bath and is more likely to cry when taken out than when in the water. He is also more tolerant of dipper changes. He is making all kinds of noises and even seems to laugh from time to time.

Hockey fever and brief sentences

Chris is doing his best to get Trevor into Sens army.
Hockey Trevor

To my dismay Trevor is developing a nap schedule. He has learned to stick his tounge out and laugh to compensate for the schedule.
Swing Trevor

I tried to take a few videos of trevor’s belly time again.

The passport office hates babies

I went to Bayshore yesterday to get Trevor’s picture taken for the passport. In order to get acceptable picture the baby has to lay on the board with his hands down, eyes wide open and mouth shut. No parent hands are to appear in the photo. I had to return to the photographer three times. Finally we got this:

Trevor in the passport
I was so happy, I would have given Trevor a truck load of treats if he can eat anything other than milk.

Trevor is getting stronger and stronger. He likes to push himself up with his legs and he is getting quite serious about his octopus. When he plays on the arc he looks like a drummer; Octopus, octopus, turtle, rainbow, rainbow, rainbow, quiet part, snare drum….. It actually looks like he picks the toy to bat and then he bats it. He has managed to grab the dangly spider toy a bit.

We’ve been busy going to baby activities and visiting friends. We are also working on getting Trevor to turn from belly to back. He can do it quite easily if I position him right. I have been having fun rolling him in a blanket and unrolling him and he does not seem to mind.

Starting to crawl

Sushi and Trevor
What a week! Trevor has been growing and developing so fast. He is now more aware of his surroundings. He knows when we are visiting and when people are over and gets excited. He can also see much better and likes looking around. When I walk in the room and he hears my voice he sometimes looks around to see me. He is almost at the point when he can grab things. He can also crawl at a snail’s pace – though it is more of dragging himself forward than crawling. Chris caught his first flip from belly to back on film. Hopefully he will post it – we’re having some formatting issues with our camera.
