Today we biked to the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau and back. Trevor falls asleep in the trailer but this gave him more energy for the “Children’s Museum” section of our day. He really loved all the toys and rooms. Here is a picture of him driving the mini bus.

He was also driving an Indian inter-city bus, some sort of motorcycle taxi and a rickshaw-like thing as well as the slew of construction vehicles in Bob the Builder section.
Trev is getting to be quite cooperative. Most of the time he will mosey on over when called and sometimes he will bring me an object if I ask for it. He has tapered down his throw everything phase and seems to have a really good understanding of what he is not allowed to do.
He also learned to how show me what he wants me to do. For example, if he wants something off the shelf, he will come over to me, tug my hand until I walk over to the shelf with him. Then he points at the object.
He is getting better at words and even says “thank-you” every once in a while.
Here is another fun photo that would have looked better had it not been taken with the cell phone camera.

Trev has been spending a lot of time with his vacationing Daddy. On Tuesday we went hiking in the Greenbelt, yesterday we went to Westport and today to the Science and Technology Museum. He got a lot of mosquito bites on the hikes, but he liked the beach near Westport. He is not too keen on going into water either at splash pads or at the lake, but he loves throwing things into the water.

Trevor is particularly keen on throwing things. It is great when he throws the ball, but we have to stop him from throwing sippy cups or other non-throwables.
He is starting to understand us better, and I he sometimes says “yes” as answer to a question. He says “dat” when he wants you to give him the ball and “bac” when he wants to throw it. He makes “brmm-brmm” noises when pointing or passing by vehicles.

I’ve been a bit negligent in updating Trevor’s blog, mostly because there is so much to say I don’t know where to start. Everything that Trevor has been doing before he is doing better. He is quite skilled at climbing and balancing. He can climb on and sit in an adult chair and has started to walk and bounce the trampoline. He is not jumping on it yet, but it is only a matter of time. He can catch the ball if you throw it at him and he has learned to stick-handle with hockey stick. He seems to prefer his right hand though he is quite handy with both.

Last week his nona came over to spend a week with him. They had a very god time.
Trev loves going to daycare. Whenever it is time to go he keeps saying Lucy which is the name of his daycare lady. He loves going to the park and particularly likes climbing and getting me stuck in play structures. He says many words. They are still mostly jumbled, but he is getting there. He is quite friendly and likes to hug people. If he is in the mood, he leans his head over so people can kiss him.

Trevor is particularly fond of toys that make different noises when a button is pressed. For example, his guitar and fire truck. He is also capable of selecting toys of the same type (for example, farm animal bowling pins) and lining them up and then knocking them over.
