Mommy and Son Day

Today was Mommy and Son day, so Trev and I played in the car (one of his favourite play areas). Then we went for a walk to the library. Trev is learning how to jump. He’s got the pre-jump crunch and arm swing down to a T, but still has to work on feet leaving the ground. He has a great sense of humour about it though so I am sure he’ll be jumping in no time. He wanted to jump off the frisbee-golf net, but I caught him every time.
At the library, he tried out a few computers and tested out all door buttons to make sure they work. We went to the kids reading area, but he was only interested in taking the books out of the bin and climbing on kiddy chairs a bit.
We then went home, though we had to stop for each dandelion and blow it out. Trev actually managed to blow out a few seeds, but not as many as he got in his and my mouth. Mostly he blew on them a bit and then let me blow a bit until the dandelion was done.
At home he had his milk and cuddles for the longest time. He wasn’t a cuddly baby and this was definitely the record cuddle. I am soo happy.
Trevor had a busy summer. His nona spent a week with him in early July, then he spent most of two weeks with Daddy. He was back in daycare last week of July and then spent entire August with his dida. He has grown so much over the summer. He is getting along with us quite well and knows but how to listen to us and make us listen to him. He is an excellent climber and is working very hard on saying words. This morning he pointed to a tissue box with fishes drawn on it and said “fish”. Trev has grown quite fond of books and loves both drawings and letters. he is starting to get interested in writing and even managed to get some chalk scratches onto the blackboard. He can point correctly (most of the time) at different images in the picture when asked and he understands most simple commands. Even though his understanding is quite good, he will only follow the commands if he is in a good mood. Trevor adjusted quite well to the daycare, but he misses the extra attention he got at home with his grandparents. Fortunately, his nona will be back this weekend and hopefully his grandma will be by soon as well. The end of the Summer
