Trevor is slowly nearing that 1000 questions a day phase. He is being very observant about his environment and is constantly commenting on things around him. This morning, he was reading his “The Very Lonely Firefly” book where the scene starts after the sun has set. He pointed out that it is dark, both on the page and outside. Sometimes he makes silly mistakes. For example, on Sunday we were coming back from the hockey game at the Civic Center and he pointed out the “other” Moon. Chris and I were a bit perplexed until Trev explained that the “original” Moon only shows up at night.
Trev is now able to tell me a sentence or two about what he did in daycare that day. He is also eating on his own more, though it really depends on the dish. If it is chicken soup with alphabet pasta, or cream of wheat, he will eat it on his own without prompting. With pasta he will eat about half the plate and then ask for help. He has no interest in eating his morning cereal on his own.

Trevor is very athletic and he loves to play hockey with the 10 and 15 year old boys at daycare. They seem to like playing with him and say that he has very good skills. He has tried to convince the two year old girl to play with him as well but with much less success. He can get her into other trouble, however, and their latest fun thing to do is spilling water in the bathroom and skipping naps.

Trevor is working on his hockey skills. He is now checking. We don’t know if he picked that up at daycare or saw it in a real hockey game, but Chris claims that he did not teach him to do it. Apparently he is doing it quite correctly. After a couple of minutes of play Trev insists on everyone getting off the “ice” so he can pass the Zamboni.
Trev is getting more and more inquisitive and is constantly asking us what we are doing. He is paying more attention to things around him and is making different connections. For example, the other day he asked me to read three books in the row, all of which were all about different animal and object sounds.
He started his Frosty Blades skating class, but so far he prefers to go to family skate time with his daddy.

Trev has been keeping us super busy with his hockey schedule. He insists on playing hockey pretty much the whole day.

To his credit, he has really improved. He can shoot quite precisely and can even keep the puck away from the opponent. He has a few goalie moves worked out as well.
When we manage to convince him to play something other than hockey, he loves playing with his cars and mega blocks or he gets us to read to him. He makes boats and garages with his mega blocks. He loves getting wrapped up in blankets and then crawling out of them. He also finds shadow puppets hilarious.
