Starting to feel it

We did so many things this week, I ended up sleeping for about 10 or 11 hours yesterday and today. I had to miss my Thursday yoga class because I was too tired to drive downtown. I feel refreshed now, which is good because the next week is going to be just as busy.

The baby still has not turned around. I can feel his head to the right of my belly button, he moves around a lot, but on the average he returns to the same position he’s been in for the whole week. We’re rooting for him to turn. If he doesn’t turn by the 6th the doctors will try and turn him. Given his usual lack of interest in cooperating with the medical profession, I am not looking forward to this.

I’ve started sorting through baby clothes. They’re cute. We haven’t put the hospital bag together yet, but I think we’re readyish otherwise.

Scrabble

Scrabble

Having spent a lot of time at home over last few months and expecting to stay at home even more in the future, Chris and I decided to invest in board games. We bought Scrabble and a social game called Wavelenght we’ll have to have people over to play. I’ve played my first ever game of Scrabble today and did not do too badly (Chris won anyway).

We were originally going to get Settlers of Catan – a great game we played at Dan’s yesterday. We then realised that it requires more than two players and people we would invite to play with already have a copy they can bring over. We could have gotten the same game with a different theme, but the only thing offered was a Star Wars version. If they had Star Trek or Jane Austen themed one, we would have gotten it. In fact, on next occasion I have time on my hands (ha ha ha) I’ll make a Jane Austen version. Wouldn’t that be fun? I wonder if there are a lot of classic literature themed board games out there.

More of the same

I wanted to write a post for a couple of days now but can’t think of anything new to say. Work is wearing me out. It is really busy at the factory with additional meetings at the office. When I finally come home I just want to rest and do nothing.

As a result I have not been to cinema in a while. Last film I went to see was Kika which is an older Almodóvar film. I like his latest stuff, but Kika was too fruity for me. We’ve also been to the theatre to see Rough House which was fun.

We’ve gotten the tree up and decorated, but I still have to tidy up the living room so we can take pictures. The living room shelves have been put in place. I’ve gotten most of the fiction books sorted alphabetically, non-fiction will be more difficult. The library should be up and running by the end of xmass holidays.

Expecting…

Belly

We went to see a couple of theatre plays lately. I liked the one at the smallest theatre the most. Seeing actors’ faces up close makes for so much more personal experience.

I have been feeling very drained lately. The baby feels like he is doing well, he is kicking about a lot. If he continues like this, we will have to put a tracking device on him once he learns to crawl, otherwise we will never catch him.
